    Well, the major benefit is certainly losing weight. I think that most people actually start working out to lose weight. Of course, there are people who want to get themselves into good physical shape, so they start working out… If you don’t have any gym in your neighborhood, this can be right thing for you, especially during the winter months. I used to go for a run every day, when the weather was nice. However, as soon as the winter comes, you have to start looking for some alternatives…. Home-based programs can offer you a solution during the winter months. You will stay home, but you will still be able to have some physical activity. I think that is the greatest benefit of such programs.

    I started using the program a year ago. In the beginning, all I was thinking about was losing weight. However, after two months, I started feeling much healthier and my body got used to the new eating regime, which is extremely important. I think that P90X is good in the long run, because it can teach you some good habits, especially when it comes to eating! That was my major problem, and it had got me fat in the first place. Once you get rid of bad eating habits, everything will go easily. And remember, you can do anything, but only if you are prepared for giving up junk food. That was the most difficult thing I had to do, but I did it! I also had incredible sleeping problems before I started exercising… For example, I went on a diet, in order to lose weight. I avoided all kinds of foods, and each night, I was lying in my bed, trying to sleep – hungry! I did not want to get up and eat, so I just kept lying in the bed…. Awake for hours! Someone should have told me exercising could actually help me! I would probably fall asleep much easier, and I would burn more calories, and wouldn’t have to starve myself. But, now I’m fine, thank God!

    I think this is individual. What works for me may not work for someone else. Some people can lose weight by regular exercising three times a week and insignificant reduction of calories in their meals, whereas others need to exercise like crazy and eat almost nothing. However, home based programs can be good for people who prefer exercising alone. Let’s face it: if you think you are overweight (and you really are), you will feel much more comfortable exercising alone. I went through the whole process, so take my word. I was ready to go to the gym after I have lost several pounds (using a home-based exercise program similar to this one).
